The EU picked up the banner of “Green Energy” long before we in the US did. Spain led the way with both Wind and Solar “farms”. All of that went down in flames two years ago, and Spain is now a basket case.
Now, Germany, the bulwark of Green energy, is on course to reverse as well. Expedited by their ill informed decision to idle their six nuclear plants as a result of the Fukushima disaster (which is not even remotely possible in Germany).
In an energy crunch, what to do? How about back to coal? Well yes, maybe.
The article from Watts Up With That should shed a lot of light on where Europe is, and where we are heading, unless we reverse course in November, (the aside about Denmark is particularly revealing). Read the WWUT article here.
