Business as Usual – Promises be Damned

Just a couple of short weeks ago, Orin Hatch was campaigning on promises to govern as a conservative. There were enough fools that bought into the rhetoric that Hatch won the primary over a Tea Party challenger.

Now, he is back in Washington, and back to voting for special interest freebies in the tax law that have absolutely no business being there. He has reverted to the form that he said he would abandon. I wonder why voters overlook years (decades even) of history when they cast a vote.
