Redefining Full Time Employment

I have been around for a long time. For at least the last forty years, full time employment has been defined as forty (or more) hours of work per week. In fact, this definition has even been codified into labor laws that stipulate when overtime must be paid, and a number of other laws and regulations that define what a full time employee is entitled to.

Thought that this was settled law? Think again. The rules are being re-written (some, like me, would say eviscerated) under the regulations spawned by the PPCA Act (AKA Obamacare). Now a full time employee is defined as anyone that works more than thirty (30) hours per week. This changes everything. Overtime – At what point? Benefits – Ah, that is the point.

By reducing the hour definition, more employees come under the grasp of the Obamacare debacle.

Breitbart has an article on it that you can read here. Please understand the ramifications of this new set of regulations that have never seen the light of Congress, let alone day.
